El Festival Mozilla es mucho más que un evento anual en el calendario. Es una comunidad colaborativa que actúa todo el año para enfrentar los problemas más preocupantes.

Wranglers

Aunque Mozilla proporciona lo básico en cuanto a estructura, recursos y apoyo, el festival es esencialmente diseñado y producido por los Wranglers del Festival Mozilla: equipos de educadores, activistas, ingenieros, artistas e investigadores que comparten el sueño de una web abierta y una internet saludable.

Los Wranglers son profesionales, activistas, académicos y artistas de todas las geografías que colaboran para crear un arco que una la narrativa y los temas del festival (también conocidos como «espacios») para llamar la atención sobre los problemas apremiantes con respecto a la salud de Internet y los espacios de IA confiables. Comparten una invitación para participar en el festival que convoca a diversas agrupaciones a través de sesiones dirigidas por la comunidad y experiencias prácticas.

Wrangling at MozFest

Los Wranglers del Festival Mozilla son el punto de conexión entre la narrativa del festival y los facilitadores, quienes se convertirán en la cara del festival.

Diseño federado

Por su diseño mismo, el Festival Mozilla es sinónimo de poder compartido y de interdependencia. Mozilla enseña a los wranglers a manejar y luego les da las llaves del auto. Luego, ellos trazan una hoja de ruta que los facilitadores utilizan para dar vida al itinerario. Los facilitadores conducen a los participantes por un recorrido que los inspira a entrar en acción en sus comunidades locales.
